This season, FFMHA is setting up two programs to help families offset costs of minor hockey.

Flin Flon Minor Hockey Association knows that hockey isn’t a cheap sport.  That’s why they are setting up two programs to hopefully offset the costs of hockey and increase the numbers in their programs.

Starting this season, FFMHA is going to offer FREE HOCKEY EQUIPMENT in two different initiatives geared at the young and old players in the Association.

1.  FFMHA is offering FREE EQUIPMENT to all new Hockey Development players aged 5 & 6.  This will include hockey kits that will be loaned out to the player for the 2014-15 hockey season along with a coupon for money off of the purchase of a helmet and skates.  The objective is to offset some of the initial start up costs for young players in hopes of helping out families that are on the fence of whether or not to sign up for hockey.  This will be done during the Registration Under One Roof on September 12 & 13.

2.  FFMHA is also going to set up a used hockey equipment sale during the Registration Under One Roof with equipment that they hope to generate on September 6, 2014 during Jumpstart BBQ which is being organized and ran by FFMHA board member Tanya Benoit.  On September 6, anyone with used equipment they are no longer using can come down to Canadian Tire and donate it to the cause.  At this time there will be a BBQ going on which any proceeds collected that day will be donated to the Canadian Tire Jumpstart program which helps families that cannot afford organized sports the opportunity to register their kids with the help in financial aides.

All information can be found on the FFMAH website, on their Facebook page and on Twitter.
