Bombers take to two games against their rivals down the #10 Highway to tune up the season.

The Ped’s Threads Bombers took on The Pas Huskies this past weekend with a home and home series starting on Saturday in The Pas.

The Pas scored once in the first and opened it up in the second scoring four times taking their first match up of the season 8-3.

Ryker Watt scored once, from Austin Weseen and Nolan Rideout, and Magnus Pearson added a pair, as the Bombers were unable to muster many shots on the Huskies’ net.  Shayden Linklater and Joey Lies added assists in the game.

The two teams met up again the next afternoon in Flin Flon with a much closer game but the Huskies still came out on top 7-6.

After getting down 2-0, Watt would score his first of the game, from Ethan McLean but The Pas would regain the two goal lead.   With one second left in the first Pearson would score to make it 3-2.

That one extra goal in the first was enough for The Pas to win as the teams exchanged goals the rest of the way.

Bomber goals would come from Rideout, from Linklater and Lies, Lies would pick up his first from Pearson and McLean and Watt would score two more times to complete the hat trick, the first coming from Rideout with the second from Linklater.

Rogan Bacon was in the net for both games and made some solid saves to help keep his team in the game.

This was a warm up for this coming weekend when the Ped’s Threads Bombers travel to Swan River for their first tournament of the season.
